Goth Choirs, Fire Riffs, and Rage: Black Veil Bride’s Hallelujah Hits Holy Hard

Let’s be real—Black Veil Brides could’ve just coasted on nostalgia forever and most of us would’ve eaten it up anyway. But instead, they came out swinging this week with “Hallelujah,” and it hits hard. Like, church bells on fire kind of hard.

The track, teased across social media, marks the band’s first new material since the Bleeders EP dropped in 2024. With crushing riffs and explosive vocals, Hallelujah sees the group diving even deeper into their most aggressive sound yet.

Frontman Andy Biersack shared the inspiration behind the song:

“I’m fascinated by the current state of discourse. We often prioritize ideological certainty over human soul. We’ve built a deep connection with our audience—even while being overlooked by parts of the scene. I want to speak about authenticity, without fear of hysteria or repression.”

From the first few seconds of the song, you know this isn’t just another Black Veil Brides’ single. The guitars are massive, the drums sound like they’re announcing the apocalypse, and then there’s that choir—yes, a full-on choir. It feels like they’re summoning something ancient and angry. It’s theatrical, it’s heavy, it’s everything this band was always teetering on the edge of becoming. And now they’ve become it.

Andy Biersack is in full prophet mode here—growling, belting, crooning—with lyrics that are sharp and scathing. He’s not just mad, he’s disappointed. The chorus drips with disdain for blind devotion: “They worship the screen, the digital shrine…”—like okay, drag us, but make it poetic.

This track feels like the spiritual sibling of Wretched and Divine, but beefed up, darker, and way more pissed off. The production (which Andy and Jake Pitts handled themselves, btw) is thick, gothic, and clean in all the right places. Also? That breakdown. Unholy.

If “Hallelujah” is our first glimpse at the next BVB chapter, then consider us converted. It’s loud, it’s bold, it’s unashamedly dramatic—and it proves these guys aren’t done evolving. Not even close.

Final thoughts? This isn’t a throwback. This is a war cry. And I’m here for it.
